Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic will not leave Barcelona in the summer, according to the Croatian's agent.

The 31-year-old was the subject of transfer speculation during the January window, in which Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea were linked with his signature as well as Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

It had led to suggestions Barcelona were prepared to cash in on Rakitic, who has won La Liga three times and the Champions League in 2015 since joining the Catalan giants from Sevilla in June 2014.

Rakitic's representative, Arturo Canales, has confirmed his client will remain at Barcelona and likely see out his contract, which runs until June 2021.

Canales told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "It is an impossible scenario to see Ivan leaving Spain in the summer."
