New boy keen on long-term deal
Recent Shrewsbury signing Keith Briggs is hoping to win a long-term contract at the club.
Briggs joined the League Two outfit on a non-contract basis from Stockport last week and had an immediate impact scoring on his debut against Hereford.
The 26-year-old is enjoying his time at Shrewsbury and he has set his sights on earning a permanent stay at New Meadow.
Brigg's agent Jesse Learoyd-Hill has revealed that Briggs is determined to secure a long-term deal at Shrewsbury, but warned other clubs could move for the versatile performer.
"Keith is enjoying his early days at Shrewsbury and everyone has made him feel welcome," Learoyd-Hill told
skysports.com.
"He is grateful that Shrewsbury and Gary Peters have given him a chance and he is happy to play anywhere he is needed to.
Security
"Keith has signed on non-contract terms, but like any player he wants long-term security.
"Hopefully Keith can secure a long-term deal at Shrewsbury as he has settled quickly there.
"However, if things do not go to plan I know a lot of other clubs who be interested in a player of the quality of Keith."
