Oxford striker signs on one-month loan
Wrexham have signed striker Rob Duffy on an initial one-month loan deal from non-league side Oxford United.
The Dragons are struggling in League Two and are currently bottom of the table, having picked up just one victory in their previous eight fixtures.
The 25-year-old striker goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Bradford City at The Racecourse ground, and hopes to make an immediate impact.
"I am looking forward to the challenge and I am delighted to be here," Duffy told
Leader Online.
Opportunity
"When the opportunity came up, I was keen to join and I want to do my best for Wrexham.
"I am only too happy to come to Wrexham and I want to grab my chance with both hands."
Manager Brian Little added: "Rob is big and strong, and different to what we have got.
Firepower
"We have been keeping tabs on Rob and thought he was worth a look. He is keen and wants to come in, and it is a good opportunity for him.
"It is more firepower for us, and it challenges the players already here to respond, which I hope they do."
Duffy, who has struck 27 goals in 54 outings for Oxford, becomes Little's 10th signing since he was appointed as Reds boss three months ago.
