Burton blow for Owls

O'Brien out for rest of the season

Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt a huge blow with the news that Burton O'Brien will miss the Owls' crucial final two games in the Championship. The Scottish midfielder picked up a thigh injury during training and will now miss Wednesday's matches against relegation rivals Leicester and Norwich. With the Owls lying one point away from safety, defeat on Saturday could send them down to League One - if results elsewhere go against them. "We've suffered so many injuries that I'm almost reluctant to train the players in case somebody else goes down but we'll deal with it and do whatever is required to get the results we need," boss Brian Laws told the club's official website.
