Chilean attracting interest

Audax Italiano striker Fabian Orellana is reportedly attracting interest from across Europe.

The Chile international has been watched by a host of clubs, with France believed to be his most likely destination.

The 22-year-old has been a consistent scorer at club level over the years and also grabbed the only goal for his country in a historic win over Argentina on 15th October.

Although Ligue 1 appears to represent the next stop in his promising career, clubs from Croatia and Brazil have also checked on the youngster's availability.

His coach at Audax Italiano, Raul Toro, concedes that he faces a virtually impossible task to keep Orellana in his homeland and is already preparing for his departure.

"I am sure that Orellana will leave us in December. He is nearly sold," Toro told Radio Cooperativa.

"There had been an offer of $2.5million (£1.58m), but the club have now received an approach worth almost twice as much as that.

"From what I have been told by club officials Orellana is very close to being transferred to France, but I don't know which team."
