Austrian set for Easter Road switch
Hibernian have agreed a loan deal for Austrian defender Markus Berger.
The 24-year-old, who is currently with Portuguese outfit Academica Coimbra, had a trial stint with Hibs earlier this month.
He has seemingly impressed manager Mixu Paatelainen, who has now moved to seal a loan transfer.
The deal is with a view to a permanent £500,000 move in the summer, should Berger do enough to impress the Hibs boss.
Berger himself is looking forward to finalising his move to Edinburgh.
"I am happy as I just want to get minutes on the pitch," he said.
"Scottish football interests me, with their good stadiums and atmosphere. This is great for players."
