Winger training with Bantams to maintain his fitness

Bradford City boss Stuart McCall has played down reports he is looking to sign Keith Gillespie. Veteran winger Gillespie is currently a free agent after being released by Sheffield United following a spell on loan at Charlton Athletic. The Northern Ireland international recently trained with Leeds United and is now working on his fitness at Bradford. However, McCall insists he has no plans to add the 34-year-old to his squad and is merely helping out his former team-mate.

Experience

"There's nothing in it with Keith, other than he is training with us," McCall told the Telegraph & Argus. "He lives in Harrogate, I've played with him before and he just wants somewhere to keep his fitness up. "It's the same situation we've had before with Wayne Allison and Bruce Dyer - they both trained with us for a bit but nothing more and I let him come down as well. "But if anything his experience and professionalism might help with the others while he's training here. Any little bit he can pass on to the likes of Joe Colbeck or the younger ones then all the better. "But he's definitely not with us with a view to anything."
