Goalkeeper exits Vicarage Road
Watford have terminated the contract of goalkeeper Mart Poom by mutual consent.
Poom had been set to become a free agent at the end of May but an agreement has been struck for him to depart ahead of schedule.
The 37-year-old moved to Vicarage Road from Arsenal in 2007 and went on to make 19 appearances for the Hornets.
However, he has not played since suffering a dislocated shoulder in a match against Reading in September.
"I'm sorry I couldn't have played more games for Watford due to injury but I certainly enjoyed the matches that I did play in," the Estonian told the club's
official website.
"I am very grateful to all the medical staff at the club who have worked incredibly hard getting me back to fitness.
Goalkeeping coach Alec Chamberlain added: "Mart's professionalism and dedication is second to none.
"Whatever he chooses to do next, everyone at the club certainly wishes him all the very best for the future."
