Striker training with Lincoln and has offer from America

Paul Connor says it is 'very unlikely' he will re-sign for Cheltenham Town after linking up with Lincoln City for a trial. The striker was not offered a new contract by Cheltenham at the end of last season, but trained with his former club on Monday. Robins boss Martin Allen has not ruled out a return for Connor, but the ex-Rochdale forward is not planning to be at Whaddon Road next season. He is currently training with League Two rivals Lincoln and has also been offered a move to American club Austin Aztex. "The gaffer asked me to come back in for a day's training because he knows I live in the area still and invited me to come down to train rather than train on my own," Connor told the Gloucestershire Echo. "It's very unlikely I will be re-signing for Cheltenham. It was just training and there was nothing in it, so we will see how it goes. "I am going to be speaking to another club this week, so I will see how that goes. I have had an offer from America, which is ongoing at the moment."
