Waddock happy to add young midfielder to his squad
Aldershot have snapped up teenage midfielder Bobby Hopkinson on a non-contract basis after an impressive trial.
Hopkinson had been training with the League Two club during pre-season and has been handed a chance to earn a long-term deal by Shots boss Gary Waddock.
The former Plymouth Argyle youngster is due to play for the reserves on Monday and Waddock is happy to add the 19-year-old to his squad.
Waddock said: "Bobby and his family have shown a lot of commitment and we will give him an opportunity to perform.
"Bobby did well in the pre-season campaign in the matches that he played.
"He is a young lad who is still learning the game and he is a good footballer. We welcome Bobby to the club."
