Darlington strike month-long deal for 36-year-old
Notts County goalkeeper Russell Hoult is to join League Two rivals Darlington on a one-month loan deal.
The experienced shot-stopper will join up with the Quakers from Thursday as Kasper Schmeichel's arrival at Meadow Lane has hampered his first-team opportunities.
The deal includes an emergency recall clause which can be activated within 24 hours should first choice Schmeichel suffer an injury.
"Russell is unlucky not to be the first keeper at the moment," boss Ian McParland told the club's
official website.
"It's best for him and the team if he is able to remain playing first-team football in order to keep his hand in and retain match fitness."
Hoult played in the Magpies' opening three games of the League Two campaign before club director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson brought former Manchester City keeper Schmeichel to the club.
