Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has put all transfer talk on the back-burner as he looks to concentrate on the Carling Cup tie with Manchester United.
City take on a Red Devils side on Wednesday who will be licking their wounds after a shock FA Cup defeat to arch-rivals Leeds at the weekend, and the Italian tactician wants to leave any discussions until after the first leg at Eastlands.
The Blues have been linked with a number of players during the January transfer window, as Mancini looks to make his mark on the team.
French midfielder Patrick Vieira is one name that has been put forward as a possible addition, with the 33-year-old out of favour at Mancini's old club Inter Milan.
But the City boss says there are a number of players in the frame, and that he is not thinking about any until after the game against the Red Devils.
"All the players want to join Manchester City," he said.
"That is normal with a big club who is going to have a big future.
"People are not only talking about Patrick Vieira, they are also saying Ivan Cordoba and Cristian Chivu (who are also at Inter Milan).
"They are all good players but the most important thing for me is the match against Manchester United.
"The other things we can talk about with the club after the derby. We will see then."
Mancini has a 100 per cent record since taking charge of the Eastlands outfit in December, and has yet to concede a goal in English football.
