Latest under our scout's gaze is Brisbane Roar youngster Tommy Oar - recommended by Sky Sports reader Craig Raymond.

The scout reports...

Tommy Oar is fast emerging as the hottest prospect in Australian football. We check on the diminutive left-winger already being labelled the new Harry Kewell. The Queensland-born wide-man is a graduate of the state's academy and was snapped up by his local A-League side Brisbane Roar in 2008. He was spotted by then Roar coach, and former Australian boss, Frank Farina, who handed him a three-year deal. It did not take Oar long to adapt to the professional game and he curled home a free-kick in only his second match. Already firmly established in the Australian youth set-up, he was called into the senior Socceroos squad by coach Pim Verbeek in December 2009. Oar made his debut for Australia in an Asian Cup qualifier in February and his impressive form has seen him tipped to make a late run for the World Cup squad. Oar is a natural winger, easy on the eye and eager to beat his man. But arguably his main asset, and a welcome one considering the modern trend with wide-men, is his crossing. Oar has a sweet left foot which he uses to great effect to pick out team-mates in the box and he tends to do this slightly more than going to the by-line, but he is capable of beating a full-back. His vision is also a stand-out feature given he is only 18-years-old and if all that wasn't enough his free-kick taking is superb. On the cusp of the World Cup squad and genuinely a terrific prospect.

The scout says...

With Rob Jansen now his agent, a move to Holland to kick-off a European career looks the likely avenue and that will not harm him at all. However, a good showing at the World Cup could open a number of more and bigger doors for him.
