Striker could return in coaching post

Bradford boss Peter Taylor has offered Peter Thorne the chance to join his coaching staff at Valley Parade. The veteran striker has parted company with the Bantams after agreeing to have his contract cancelled by mutual consent. The 36-year-old, who spent over two years with the League Two club, will sign his cancellation forms later this week. He could, however, be set to make a quick-fire return after being asked to join Bradford's back-room staff. "If Peter wants to come here and help with my coaching, I've offered him the chance," said Taylor. The former Norwich and Stoke forward had been dogged by injuries this season, limiting him to just three first-team starts in the league. Upon his departure, a club statement read: "Everyone at Bradford City Football Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter for his tremendous service and wish him the very best for the future."
