Midfielder not risked by Maradona

Argentina ace Juan Sebastian Veron has been ruled out Thursday's clash with South Korea through injury. Former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder Veron is struggling with a minor muscle injury and will not face South Korea in Argentina's second game in Group B. Argentina coach Diego Maradona is refusing to take a risk with Veron's fitness as he does not want to lose the playmaker for the rest of the tournament. "It's hard to leave Seba (Veron) out but there are also risks playing him," said Maradona. "I don't want the World Cup to end for him, I need him. "He understood it was the best thing for the squad." Maradona has no other injury worries to contend with and a replacement for Veron is set to be his only change to the starting line-up for the clash with South Korea.
