Lorient have wasted little time in replacing Laurent Koscielny, by signing Bruno Ecuele Manga.
Manga is a Gabonese international and the 21-year-old arrives from newly promoted Angers on a four-year deal.
Lorient have moved for Manga to replace Koscielny - who is expected to be unveiled by Arsenal in the next 24 hours.
"The timing is perfect. The arrival of Bruno is not a coincidence," said Lorient boss Christian Gourcuff.
"We have been following him for two years and when it became known that Arsenal were interested in Laurent, we became active."
