Slovakian striker leaves Lille

Robert Vittek is heading back to Turkey after completing his move from Lille to MKE Ankaragucu. The Slovakian striker took in a loan spell with Ankaragucu during the second half of last season, helping the club to finish 12th in the Turkish top flight. No details of the transfer have been released, but it is reported that Vittek has penned a two-year contract with his new employers. It is also believed that Ankaragucu have parted with €2.1million (£1.8m) in order to land the 28-year-old. Vittek leaves Lille after two years in France, during which time he scored seven goals in 38 matches. While that record is far from spectacular, the powerful frontman did shine at the 2010 World Cup. He found the target on four occasions in South Africa, as Slovakia enjoyed a productive run to the last 16 before coming unstuck against eventual finalists Holland.
