Midfielder unable to secure two-year contract at Palace
Veteran midfielder Davide Baiocco has confirmed he will stay at Brescia after failing to agree a deal with Crystal Palace.
Baiocco recently had a trial with Palace and had discussed the possibility of linking up with the Championship club ahead of the new season.
However, after being unable to secure a two-year contract at Selhurst Park, the 35-year-old is going to play in Serie A with Brescia this term.
"I've decided, I want to stay in Brescia," the Italian told
tuttomercatoweb.
"The talks with Crystal Palace started well, but then there were complications, so I have decided that I want to stay here.
"I wanted a two-year contract, but that was not possible and, therefore, I will carry on with the same conditions at Brescia.
"I love English football and it would have been a great experience, but there were problems.
"That contract would not have changed my life and so I have no reason to leave Brescia where I feel good. That's okay, now I think of Serie A with Brescia."
