Tunisia international set to move on
Valenciennes have accepted a bid from Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux for midfielder Fahid Ben Khalfallah.
The 2009 French champions saw an initial approach for the Tunisia international knocked back, but have returned with an improved offer.
The terms on the table now match Valenciennes' valuation of a player they only signed from Caen 12 months ago.
It is believed that Bordeaux have bid around €5million (£4.1m) for the talented 27-year-old, who still had two years remaining on his contract at Stade Nungesser.
"A first offer was made on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough," Valenciennes chairman Francis Decourriere told
L'Equipe.
"They then came back on Thursday with a better proposition."
Ben Khalfallah has made rapid progress through the ranks of French football over recent years, as he was playing in the third tier with Amiens as recently as 2005.
