Strachan targets Celtic raid

Skysports.com understands Middlesbrough are targeting a beat-the-deadline swoop for Celtic midfielder Marc Crosas. Crosas has found himself well down the pecking order at Celtic this summer and could be interested in a move away in search of regular first-team football. The Spanish schemer has yet to figure in Neil Lennon's side this term and he could be willing to loan him out in a bid to trim the squad at Parkhead. The news has alerted Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan, who is looking to bolster his midfield options after losing the likes of Kevin Thomson and Willo Flood to injury. Strachan is a big admirer of Crosas having signed him during his time in charge of Celtic and he is thought to be exploring a loan deal for the 22-year-old.
