Defender open-minded regarding loan switch in the New Year
Chesterfield's experienced defender Robert Page insists he will not push to head out on loan in January should his first-team chances remain restricted at the B2net Stadium.
The Welsh veteran has featured just once for the Spireites in League Two this season as they continue to set the pace at the top of the table.
However, the 36-year-old says that he will not be actively seeking a loan switch and is prepared to wait for his chance this season, with a coaching career hopefully on the horizon.
"I'd never say never to a short-term move, but if I was 26 I might be more inclined to go round knocking on the manager's door every day," Page told

Realistic
"You want to establish yourself when you are in your 20s and play as many games as possible, but I'm realistic and as a 36-year-old I'm looking beyond my playing career and hopefully into coaching, so being patient about playing games is something I am more keen to do now than earlier in my career.
"The ambition is still there and I still want to play as much as possible, but I'm also realistic in realising that I'm not going to be playing every week as an experienced professional in his mid-30s.
"I passed my Uefa A Licence last summer, so I need to move on to my Pro Licence now, which you need to be invited on to.
"I'm trying to get it all done now so that I can give something back to the game after I have finished playing.
"I don't mind what capacity or age group that involves, but is certainly an avenue that I would like to go down."
