Morrison and Thompson feature for Leeds' reserves
Leeds United will continue to run the rule over trialists Jason Morrison and Zac Thompson after they both featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
Morrison, a Jamaica international, completed 70 minutes of the 4-1 success against Newcastle's reserves at Thorp Arch on Monday while youngster Thompson came off the bench.
The 26-year-old Morrison is believed to have impressed Leeds' management, who are now weighing up a possible deal in January with a number of midfielders' futures in the air.
Bradley Johnson is transfer listed, Neil Kilkenny is out of contract next summer while Amdy Faye's short-term deal at Elland Road expires at the start of next month.
Morrison has been in Yorkshire before having undergone a successful trial with Sheffield United in 2006 before being dispatched to their Belgian feeder club White Star Woluwe.
Featuring alongside Morrison on Monday was 17-year-old Everton midfielder Thompson.
The Toffees Academy starlet now looks set to remain with Leeds until around the turn of the year.
