Goalkeeper facing one month on sidelines
Valencia goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez is set to be sidelined for a month after suffering a knee injury.
The 39-year-old picked up the problem in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad and had to be replaced early in the second half.
Scans later revealed the extent of the damage and Cesar will now be out until late January.
Although the Primera Liga season does take a break for a fortnight over Christmas, there is a busy schedule when the action resumes.
Cesar is therefore likely to miss at least five crucial games as Valencia look to push on from their current position of fourth.
Cesar had a spell at Tottenham in 2008/9 but was unable to dislodge Heurelho Gomes from the starting line-up and soon returned to Spain.
