Sampdoria have lined up a deal for Hungarian international Zsolt Laczko as Reto Ziegler looks set to leave the club.
Ziegler had been in talks with Spanish club Malaga, but now giants AC Milan are ready to make a move after failing with a bid to land Domenico Criscito.
Now Sampdoria have been forced to look for reinforcements and they have opted for Debrecen ace Laczko.
The 24-year-old international, who spent time with Leicester in 2008, is now travelling to Italy to talk terms.
Ziegler, meanwhile, whose contract expires at the end of the season, looks set to move to Milan for a fee yet to be agreed, but it is expected to be between €4 and €5million.
