Italian giants keen to snap up Albanian midfielder

Galatasaray have confirmed that Serie A club Lazio have opened transfer talks regarding Lorik Cana. The Albanian midfielder only moved to Turkey last summer, completing a switch from Premier League outfit Sunderland. There is a chance he could be about to change clubs again, with interest in his services mounting ahead of the summer transfer window. Cana is a ball-winner of some repute and his reputation rose considerably during his time in France with Paris St Germain and Marseille and during his days in England. A shot at the Italian top flight may now be on the cards, with Lazio having already made their move for the talented 27-year-old.

Future

"There has been contact with Lazio for Lorik Cana," Galatasaray general director Cenk Ergun told Radio Mana Mana. "His future will be decided next week. "Last week Galatasaray named a new president and for that reason we must postpone things until Monday or Tuesday. "Next week we will meet with the player to talk about his future and will present him with the offers on the table. "Discussions with Lazio are already open and in the next few days everything will become clearer."
