Healy signs new deal as Ipswich plot promotion push next term

Ipswich's push for the Premier League has been boosted with news that Colin Healy has signed a new one-year contract at Portman Road. The Republic of Ireland international midfielder made 11 starts and 10 substitute appearances for the Tractor Boys this term. He enjoyed a run of games under Paul Jewell when the new boss first arrived at the club in January. He scored twice and was part of the side which finished the campaign at Leicester. The new deal means a third season at the club for the 31-year-old, who arrived from Cork City in the summer of 2009.
