Youngster to gain experience at Swiss club

Teenage forward Nassim Ben Khalifa has joined Young Boys on a season-long loan from Wolfsburg. The Switzerland international arrived at Wolfsburg last February from native side Grasshopper on a four-year deal but is yet to feature for the German club's first team. Ben Khalifa made his Bundesliga debut last season while on loan at Nurnberg, featuring in a 10-minute cameo against St Pauli in March. Wolfsburg have extended the 19-year-old's contract by a year until summer 2015, but coach Felix Magath wants him to build experience elsewhere.

Develop

"It is important for Nassim to get match practice and to develop further," Magath told Uefa's official website. Ben Khalifa added: "Going to Germany was not a mistake. I have learned a lot. "Young Boys signed me because they believe in me. I now want to show them what I am capable of." The forward has already won two senior caps for Switzerland and was part of the Under-21 side that reached the final of the European Championship in Denmark last month. He will play Europa League football with Young Boys next season after they finished third in the Swiss top-flight last term.
