Pletikosa could win short-term deal at Parkhead

Celtic boss Neil Lennon is to give Stipe Pletikosa another chance to impress after playing against Cardiff. The Croatia international, who is trying to win a move to Parkhead, was a virtual spectator as the Bhoys secured a 1-0 friendly win at the Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday night. Pletikosa made just one real save, getting fully behind a 30-yard strike from Joe Mason, and was rarely tested with aerial balls. Lennon is looking for someone to compete with Lukasz Zaluska for the number one jersey, with Dominic Cervi currently the understudy following Fraser Forster's return to Newcastle. And Pletikosa looks set to get another chance in one of the four friendlies Celtic play following their SPL opener against Hibernian this weekend. "The keeper didn't have a lot to do and it would be difficult to sign him on the evidence of that but we will have another look. A short-term contract is a possibility," admitted Lennon. "I want another goalkeeper - we've only got two at the moment. In any scenario I want to bring another goalkeeper in."
