Blackburn midfielder moves to the Keepmoat on short-term loan
Doncaster have further strengthened their squad with the signing of Herold Goulon on a two-month loan deal from Blackburn.
The Championship strugglers have been busy bolstering their ranks since handing Dean Saunders the managerial reins and are set to welcome another fresh face once the relevant paperwork has been completed.
Goulon is a midfielder full of promise, but one that has struggled to make an impact in English football.
The 23-year-old joined Blackburn from Le Mans in October 2010 but has made just one Premier League start for the Ewood Park outfit.
The former France U21 international is fully aware of what top flight life is all about, though, having taken in a spell at Middlesbrough earlier in his career.
Good signing
He was likened to Patrick Vieira when he first burst onto the scene, but has been unable to find the game time he craves.
Rovers are hoping he will thrive at the Keepmoat Stadium, along with their other notable arrivals.
Goulon is the second Premier League player to link up with the club this week, with Senegal international Habib Beye having joined on a three-month loan from Aston Villa.
"It's another good signing for us and there could be more things happening with a bit of luck before the end of the week," Saunders told the club's
official website.
Beye and Goulon are expected to go straight into Doncaster's squad for a Championship fixture against Watford on Saturday.
