Derby defender Chris Riggott has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
The 31-year-old began his career with the Rams in 1999 and re-joined the club this August on a one-year deal based on appearances after recovering from a series of injuries.
Riggot, though, has not turned out for Nigel Clough's first team, despite featuring in the reserves.
The Derby-born defender came through the youth system at his hometown club before joining Middlesbrough in 2003.
After a brief spell on loan at Stoke and a short stint with Cardiff last season, Riggott again signed for Derby this summer.
