Kamel Ghilas is keen to remain with Reims beyond the summer when his loan spell at the French club runs out.
The Algeria international winger was farmed out on loan to the Ligue 2 outfit by Hull City at the start of the season, and he has done well in France.
Ghilas is the top scorer in the French second division with 13 goals and says that he wants to carry on playing for Reims next season as well.
Having fun
"I wanted to score 10 goals, I already have 13," the 28-year-old told
L'Equipe. "I will try to reach 15 and gain promotion to Ligue 1.
"I have so much fun at Reims. Why did I play for a lot of clubs? I am not unstable, that is just a footballer's life.
"But I would like to stay at Reims. I have a history with the club.
"In 2006, I had contact with the chairman, who finally signed Cedric Faure. He asked me to wait, but I didn't."
Ghilas's current contract with Hull runs until 2013.
