Aston Villa midfielder Yacouba Sylla is poised to join Turkish club Kayseri Erciyesspor on loan, Sky Sports understands.

Sylla found himself out of favour at Villa last season and made just six starts in all competitions for Paul Lambert's side.

The Mali international, who joined Villa from Clermont Foot in January 2013, voiced his frustration at the back end of last season at the lack of first-team opportunities.

Villa are willing to loan out Sylla so that he can play regular first-team football next season as he is down the pecking order in Lambert's plans.

A number of Turkish clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in Sylla, but the midfielder has opted to join Kayseri Erciyesspor on a season-long loan deal.
