Charlton have completed the signing of Serbia Under-21 goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic for an undisclosed fee from Ujpest.

The 22-year-old, who has penned an 18-month deal, has been signed to provide competition for Neil Etheridge with fellow shot-stopper Nick Pope having joined Bury on loan until the end of the season.

"We have brought Marko in to compete with Neil to be first choice," goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts told the club's official website.

"We have seen a lot of him and been scouting him for eight or nine months.

"He is a Serbia Under-21 international and is over here to compete for his place and also prepare for the European Under-21 Championship in the summer.

"He has trained with us over the past few days and made a really good impression already so I'm looking forward to spending some time with him."
