MK Dons have signed forward Devante Cole on loan from Manchester City for the remainder of the season.

The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for City but scored seven goals in 23 games during a loan spell with the Dons' Sky Bet League One rivals Barnsley from August to December this season.

Cole, who can play up front or on the left wing, is the son of former Newcastle and Manchester United striker Andrew.

He could now make his debut for Karl Robinson's men against Barnsley at stadium:mk on Saturday.

"Devante is someone I've wanted to bring to the football club for a long while," Robinson told the club's official website.

"He's an exciting youngster who can play either on the wing or up-front, he's quick and he knows how to score goals.

"He's held in high regard by Manchester City and the FA, having represented England at all levels from U16s to U19s, and I can't wait to work with him for the remainder of the season."
