Huddersfield captain Mark Hudson has urged his side to toughen up after three straight league defeats has seen them slip further down the Championship table.

Chris Powell's side were recently beaten at Charlton and Brentford and lost out to Yorkshire rivals Rotherham at the John Smith's Stadium at the weekend and Hudson said after the latest defeat that his side had been bullied.

"We feel that we got bullied for the large part of the game; from about 15 minutes onwards," he told the club's official website.

"Once they stepped on to us we seemed to take a backwards step. We didn't win many first or second balls and we didn't really look like we were competing.

"It was almost like we were waiting for something to happen. Obviously it was a disappointing day.

"We're a passing side, that's the players that we have. However, we didn't pass it after around 15 minutes on Saturday.

"If you go more direct with one up front, the ball will not stick."

Huddersfield, who have conceded nine goals in those three defeats, chase a second win in eight league games at Birmingham on Saturday.
