Bolton suspend Barry Bannan and Neil Danns

Bolton manager Neil Lennon has confirmed he has suspended two players for breach of club discipline following an altercation at the team's hotel.
On-loan Crystal Palace player Barry Bannan and fellow midfielder Neil Danns were the subject of complaints made by guests at the Bolton Whites Hotel, adjacent to their home at the Macron Stadium, ahead of the trip to Brentford on Saturday.
Lennon dropped the pair for the 2-2 draw at Griffin Park and he has not yet decided how long they will remain banned from the club.
“I'm not a massive disciplinarian but we set standards at the club and when you fall below them you're going to get punished,” he said.
“We do not discourage players going out and socialising but their behaviour was unacceptable so we've had to discipline them within the club rules.
“You can punish players financially but I think it hurts them more when they don't play. They're good lads, good types, and they're disappointed with their behaviour and were more than apologetic for it.
“It's down to me how long they'll be suspended for. I'm in a good mood today so I might lift the ban soon. I might not.”
The exact nature of their behaviour is unknown and the Bolton Whites Hotel, a partner of the club, refused to comment on the incident.
Bannan joined Wanderers in February on a loan deal until the end of the season, while Danns signed a one-year contract extension in January.
