Oxford have strengthened their midfield options after completing the signing of former Everton trainee John Lundstram on a two-year deal, with the option of an extra year.
The 21-year-old midfielder left Goodison Park this summer after failing to make a senior appearance for the club despite representing England from Under-17 to Under-20 level.
During his time with the Toffees, Lundstram enjoyed loan spells at Doncaster, Yeovil, Leyton Orient, Blackpool and, most recently, Scunthorpe.
Head coach Michael Appleton said: "John is a player who a lot of clubs have been monitoring. Everton offered him a new deal but he felt it was the right time to make a permanent move and establish himself at another club and we are delighted that he came to Oxford."
