Former Bolton and West Ham striker Ricardo Vaz Te is training with Sky Bet League 1 side Bury, manager David Flitcroft has confirmed.
The Portuguese forward, who worked under Flitcroft at Barnsley, was spotted at Gigg Lane watching the Shakers' 4-3 loss to Fleetwood in midweek.
Vaz Te, 28, is currently out of contract and working on his fitness, with Flitcroft saying the arrangement is going no further than that at present, despite speculation of a playing deal.
Flitcroft said at a press conference: "Ricardo Vaz Te had a very successful spell with us at Barnsley, and obviously he got his move to West Ham through it.
"We will give him as much help as we can and see where that is at, but this is really about helping someone who did fantastic for me."
