Tokyo Sexwale has denied reports that he is considering pulling out of the FIFA presidential election race.
Sexwale has been criticised in the South African media for what has been described as a lacklustre campaign.
The businessman has agreed to meet the South African Football Association later this week to address their concerns.
A spokesman for Sexwale has told Sky Sports News HQ that he will not pull out of the contest.
The spokesman said he was 100 per cent sure Sexwale would stand in the election, adding Sexwale was confident of receiving the full support of the Confederation of African Football when they meet in Kigali, Rwanda, on February 5. Africa has 54 of the 209 votes in the election.
Sexwale's manifesto includes commitments to make FIFA more transparent. He wants a fairer distribution of World Cup slots and executive committee seats and he wants to bring in outside business leaders to advise FIFA on good governance.
