Laurent Blanc: Manchester City not particularly spectacular in PSG win

PSG manager Laurent Blanc believes Man City were "not particularly spectacular" after they beat his side 1-0 (3-2 on aggregate) to progress to the Champions League semi-finals.
Kevin De Bruyne scored with City's only shot on target at the Etihad on Tuesday as the reigning Ligue 1 champions exited the competition at the quarter-final stage for the fourth year running.
Blanc praised City for their effective style of play, and admitted his team were "inadequate in all areas of the game".
Speaking to reporters after the defeat, Blanc said: "Our technical limitations were shown in these two matches.
"We have not been effective during our big moments and City were much more effective in their big moments.
"They didn't have as many opportunities tonight but were effective. They are a good team, not a particularly spectacular team, but they are efficient and they got the job done."
PSG started in a 3-5-2 formation as Blanc shuffled his pack to cope with the absences of David Luiz and Blaise Matuidi, both suspended after picking up first-leg bookings.
The visitors, who were also missing Marco Verratti, were forced into another tactical change just before half-time when Thiago Motta pulled up with a hamstring problem, but Blanc refused to use the adjustments as an excuse.
"We are not going to hide behind it, but we were missing some players," he added. "We will have to analyse a lot of things after this defeat and when you don't go through, you regret absolutely everything.
"Tonight we were inadequate in all areas of the game and while defensively we were not bad, with the use of the ball we were not so good.
"We thought we would create more chances and cause more problems than we did, and I think it was there for us to qualify for the semi-finals."
