Super Sunday Podcast - Tottenham v Southampton and Man City v Arsenal
Sunday 8 May 2016 21:51, UK
Ed Chamberlin is joined in the studio by Graeme Souness and Thierry Henry to reflect on Super Sunday.
The studio guests dissect Southampton's 2-1 victory against Tottenham at White Hart Lane, as Ronald Koeman's side took another step towards European qualification.
Souness and Henry, along with Niall Quinn, also look back at Manchester City's 2-2 draw with Arsenal in what was Manuel Pellegrini's final home game in charge of City.
It wasn't the result the Chilean manager would have wanted as City's participation in next season's Champions League appears to be under threat with just one league game remaining.
The pundits reflected on City's season and here's what Souness had to say: "It's not just about today, it's about results before today.
"They had a go, were aggressive, played with high energy and Arsenal were hanging in there for most of the game. City were good today, but if you're a City supporter you're asking why are we not like that every week.
"If you're a manager you're wondering why they can't show that same aggression and enthusiasm, same intensity every week. City have the best players but week after week this season they have not matched the opposition for effort and that's why they are where they are.
"The fans are deeply disappointed with what the team has served up this year."
