EFL Cup giant-killers Luton had to settle for a point as Yeovil came from behind to take a point in a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road.
The Hatters, who defeated Sky Bet Championship side Aston Villa 3-1 in midweek, went ahead through Stephen O'Donnell's stunning 25-yard strike, but Tom Eaves equalised 12 minutes from time with a header.
Sido Jombati's superb curling free-kick broke the deadlock but a close-range finish from Andrew Boyce looked to have earned the Mariners a point but a fortuitous strike from Anthony Stewart in added-time snatched victory for the Chairboys.
Two goals in as many second-half minutes earned Hartlepool a 2-1 victory at Exeter.
Liam McAlinden had given the home side a 31st-minute lead but the game turned in Pools' favour when Michael Woods levelled from six yards in the 74th minute and Billy Paynter grabbed what turned out to be the winner 60 seconds later.
Colchester claimed a comfortable 2-0 win against Cambridge, with Brennan Dickenson rifling in an early opener and Denny Johnstone heading home a late second to seal the points, while Blackpool took the lead at Morecambe, only to lose 2-1.
The Seasiders went ahead through Brad Potts' neat turn and finish, but Jack Dunn pulled Morecambe level from the penalty spot in first-half injury-time and Michael Rose scored a second.
Jamie Turley poked home the only goal of the game as Newport snatched a 1-0 win at Leyton Orient, while Reggie Lambe made it two goals in as many league games as he drove in the only goal for Carlisle in a 1-0 win against Plymouth.
John Akinde, who scored an own goal in midweek, had better luck as he set Barnet on their way to a 2-0 success against Accrington, with strike partner Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro doubling their advantage with a low shot.
Notts County and Stevenage played out a 1-1 draw with Ben Kennedy, who scored the winner for Boro at Ipswich in the EFL Cup in midweek, netting early on, only for Jon Stead to lob in a leveller.
It was also 1-1 at the Keepmoat Stadium as James Collins' opener for Crawley was cancelled out by veteran Doncaster midfielder James Coppinger.
A stunning 35-yard effort from Daniel O'Shaughnessy earned Cheltenham a point in another 1-1 draw at Mansfield, while Crewe and Portsmouth played out a goalless stalemate.
