The Premier League are yet to receive a single complaint from clubs as referees clamp down on player dissent and grappling at corners.

As managers and players come to terms with some of the biggest changes in the way Premier League games are officiated, the league has told Sky Sports News HQ that clubs are buying into the new campaigns.

Mike Riley, general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOB), said: "We spoke to every club and their players before the season started.

"We explained all of the changes that have come in this season, including what referees would be looking for when it comes to holding in the penalty area."

The weekend's action saw a number of players cautioned for dissent and two penalties awarded for grappling at corners during Stoke's home defeat to Manchester City.
