Jamie Vardy produces a hilarious moment in the tunnel before playing Southampton as Schmeichel and Hojberg meet

Jamie Vardy drew from the sitcom The Inbetweeners to hilariously taunt Leicester team-mate Kasper Schmeicher ahead of the Southampton clash.

It seems the Foxes' poor form has not affected the morale in the dressing room, with Vardy in especially high spirits last Sunday.

With the teams lining up in the tunnel at St Mary's, Schmeichel embraced fellow countryman Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, which prompted Vardy to quote a famous scene from the hit TV series, much to the amusement of everyone else.

On the pitch, Southampton increased the pressure on Leicester by inflicting a second straight 3-0 defeat on the champions.

The hosts led 2-0 at the break after strikes by James Ward-Prowse, his first goal since September, and Jay Rodriguez.

Dusan Tadic's late penalty ensured the Foxes, who are still waiting for their first away win in the Premier League this season, remain deep in trouble in 15th place, five points above the relegation zone. The 37 goals they have now conceded is more than they shipped throughout the whole of last season.
