Swansea players have heaped praise on Andre and Jordan Ayew following their roles in the 4-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.

The brothers started together for the first time since Andre moved to the Liberty Stadium in January from West Ham for a club-record £18m.

The duo helped Swansea secure their biggest win of the season as they swept West Ham aside, with Andre playing a role in three of the goals and Jordan scoring a penalty.

Andy King, who scored his first Swansea goal in the win over the Hammers, said: "They were brilliant, they don't stop running. They are a real outlet and set that pressure and tone from the front.

"Andre has got minutes under his belt in his first start, so I am sure he will get better."

Mike van der Hoorn, who scored Swansea's second goal on Saturday, added: "Andre wanted to show something against his old team. That was good for us and it really helped the way the brothers put the energy into our attack.

"As individuals they are top players, but with each other they are really connected."

Swansea 4-1 West Ham

Swansea have now picked up 17 points from nine matches in the Premier League since Carlos Carvalhal arrived as manager.

The win over David Moyes' side was their seventh in 11 matches, although the one defeat in that period was last weekend's 4-1 loss at Brighton.

However, van der Hoorn believes the win over West Ham shows Swansea have bounced back from that defeat.

He said: "We showed that was just one bad day. It was all about the response from the team, because before that defeat we did great.

"What we can't do now is have another bad day at Huddersfield next week. We need to stay sharp and stay focused."
