Wayne Rooney spotted in Washington for first time since news of arrest

Wayne Rooney has been spotted in Washington for the first time since news emerged he was arrested following a public intoxication incident at a US airport.
DC United striker Rooney was arrested on December 16 by Metropolitan Airport Authority, based near the club's stadium.
The 33-year-old was fined $25 and had to pay $91 costs for the misdemeanour, while a court hearing due to take place on January 24 has been waived.
Rooney has not given comment on the incident, though a spokesperson said the incident occurred due to the taking of sleeping pills, in conjunction with alcohol during a flight.
