Southampton have made an approach to Birmingham City for their leading goalscorer Che Adams.
No official bid is believed to have been submitted as of yet, but the Saints are understood to have been closely monitoring the 22-year-old.
However, Southampton are thought to be just one of a number of Premier League clubs that are keen on signing Adams.
Adams' future is far from certain, and Birmingham - who are currently under an EFL transfer embargo - say the forward is not for sale.
Adams has scored 14 goals in 30 games for Birmingham this season, who are 13th in the Championship.
He joined the club from Sheffield United in 2016, and has gone on to score 26 goals in 98 games.
