Frank Lampard insists Tom Lawrence and Jayden Bogle will not be leaving Derby this month, despite interest in the pair from other clubs.
Lampard revealed the Rams have turned down an approach for winger Lawrence, while Sky Sports News understands Burnley hold an interest in 18-year-old right-back Bogle.
Asked about whether the duo would be departing Derby before tomorrow's January transfer deadline, Lampard said: "I think there was an enquiry for Tom.
"Top players, with the attributes of Tom, will always take interest from other clubs.
"It's of no interest to me because Tom's such an important player for us, and the same from his part. Tom Lawrence won't be leaving.
"I'm delighted with Jayden Bogle's progress, to come through, start games and be as comfortable as he has. He's at the start of a really upward curve, I would hope, because of his age.
"I'd love to have him around because he's such a young talent, and I think the club appreciates that.
"From my point, he is not leaving. I want to see him continue his development here."
Derby take on Preston on Friday night - live on Sky Sports - as they look to maintain their push for promotion to the Premier League.
Lampard confirmed Ashley Cole, who arrived from LA Galaxy earlier this month, could make his first appearance for the club, but says he is not fit enough to start the match.
"He's getting closer. I'm not sure whether Ashley will be fully involved," said Lampard. "The extra 15 or 20 per cent of match fitness is what we're looking for.
"The last thing we want to do is put him in there too early. On the flip side, we're not that big a squad - particularly defensively - so if needs be, he might play some part."
