Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa says it has been hard to maintain a level of calm at the club as promotion back to the Premier League draws nearer.

The Yorkshire club currently lie second in the Championship table, three points ahead of Sheffield United in third, with just four matches left to play.

If results go in their favour, Leeds could confirm their return to the top flight as early as Monday when they travel to face Brentford, live on Sky Sports.

Speaking ahead of Friday's home game with Wigan, Bielsa said: "When the atmosphere close to you is excited, it is more difficult to be calm.

"You need to have both these feelings and it is hard to balance the two. There are no football players who don't have the same feelings as the fans.

"As professionals they have to balance that and be calm."

One man who has been keen to embrace the excitement among Leeds supporters is forward Kemar Roofe.

"This season it has always been there and it is growing each week. Especially when you step out the door and someone is waving at you and wants to stop and tell you how amazing it is.

"We all dream about promotion and that is our aim.

"Everything is open. It's the perfect position. It's on our hands and up to us if we promoted or not."
