Non-league game replayed after racist allegations against referee

A football match was replayed on Saturday, five months after the original game was abandoned because of alleged racism from the referee.

Exeter United lost 2-1 to Colyton's second team in Division Six of the Devon and Exeter Football League.

In the original match last October, players complained of bias decisions from the referee and the club secretary told the FA of racist language being used.

The Devon FA upheld a 35 day ban on the referee and a £75 fine, while he was also ordered to go on an education course.

Exeter United were set up by Suaad George as a team that would be a social outlet for immigrants and refugees. The squad has had as many as 25 nationalities.
